Salkyn-Tor State Park
On May 25, 2001, the government of the Kyrgyz Republic declared Saltyn-Tor a state park in an effort to expand the nature conservation efforts to improve the environment. It is located about 15 km from the north-south region and 30 km from the east-west regions of Naryn city. The park has 40.299 sq/m of protected area. The park has bears, lynxes, mountain goats, deer, wolves, foxes, snow leopards, squirrels, rabbits, badgers, and marmots. Also, about 300 different species of plants grow here (carrots, peppermint, herbs, medicinal plants, and more). Salkin-Tor has a natural cave, "Kojo-Unkyul,” historic hills, "Doyuberi,” a fountain, "Kylgaku,” and beautiful canyons, "Kok-Jyaiuk,” "Berkut-Uya,” "Kuzur-Zoo” and more. There are many attractions that draws the heart s of people who visit it.
